The Man With A Dream (TRUE story)

This man had a dream ... and shared his dream with a close friend ... hoping his friend would lend him $10,000.
  • His friend slept on it.
  • Next day his friend told him that it was a great idea, but that he wouldn't risk the $10,000.
So, the man went to a bank, and got turn down.
  • He went to another bank ... got turned down.
  • He went to the 3rd, 4th, & 5th bank ... got turned down. (how many would have quit?)
  • He went to 100 banks ... got turned down.
Just a couple side-notes:
  • Who said it was going to be easy???
  • Pursue that God-given dream within you. He has a plan and purpose for YOU! He hasn't given up on you, don't YOU give up on Him. (You may want to listen to the 14-part Hope Series on my website. See the audio section at the bottom of the page on this link ... www.bishopdennisdavis.com/index.php/media/ministry)
The dream continued to burn within him.
  • He went to 200 banks ... to 300 banks ... he was turned down repeatedly.
Another side-note: So many quit too soon. It's not that they failed, it's just that success didn't come quick enough for them, so they give up, and quit. Think about this. Who did God give the dream to? YOU! Others may not see it, because God gave it to YOU! As you continue to pursue the dream He gave to YOU, others will begin to "catch" the vision. Stay faithful!

He went to 307 banks ... he was turned down by each of them.
  • UNTIL ... bank 308 took the risk on his idea.
  • So ... Walt Disney started Disneyland ...
  • and ... his friend, Art Linkletter, is still kicking himself for not taking a risk on his friend's idea.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ... quit!

May God bless you abundantly!!!

The Biggest Mathematical Miracle in the World

Moses and the people were in the desert, but what was he going to do with them? They had to be fed, and feeding 2-3 million people requires a lot of food. According to the Quartermaster General in the Army, it is reported that Moses would have to have had 1500 tons of food each day. To bring that much food EACH day, it would require 2 freight trains, each a mile long, each day. Besides this, you must remember, there were out in the desert, so they'd have to have firewood to use in cooking the food. This would take 4000 tons of wood and a few more freight trains, each a mile long, just for ONE day. And ... just think, they were 40 years in transit.

Now ... what about water? Where were they again? Oh, yeah, the desert. If they only had enough to drink and wash a few dishes, it would take 11 million gallons EACH day, and a freight train with tank cars, 1800 miles long ... just to bring water!

Then another thing ... when they crossed the Red Sea ... they did it in one night. Now, if they went on a narrow path, double file, the line would be 800 miles long and would require 35 days and nights to get through. So, there had to be a space in the Red Sea, 3 miles wide so that they could walk 5000 abreast to get over in one night.

But then, there's another problem ... do you think Moses figured all this out before he left Egypt? I think not! (40 years in the wilderness was not part of the initial plan.) You see, Moses believed in God. God took care of these things for him. Now ... do you think God has any problem taking care of all YOUR needs?

May God bless you abundantly, and make you a blessing to others,

Lessons from Noah's Ark

One: Don't miss the boat.

Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat.

Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.

Four: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.

Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

Six: Build your future on high ground.

Seven: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.

Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

Nine: When you're stressed, float a while.

Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

May God bless you all, and make you a blessing to others,

Gates of Hell

I'd like to propose a thought to each of you. I am guessing that most of you are familiar with Matthew 16:18, where Jesus talks about building His church, "and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." Have you truly meditated on this scripture? For the most part, when I hear references to this verse, it sounds as though when hell attacks the church (us), it will not prevail. We will overcome. However, here's the thought ... when was the last time you saw, or heard of, someone being attacked with a gate?

Hmmmm ... is a gate an offensive weapon? or a defensive weapon? I suggest to you that it is a defensive weapon. So, what is Jesus saying then? Could it be that we (the church) are to be attacking those gates and setting the captives free? Could it be that He is telling us that those gates cannot stop us, or prevail against us? Could it be that He's saying that as we go about doing what we are designed to do, and as those who are being held captive hear the Word of God, that those gates cannot stop the captives from being loosed?

Church ... it's time we go on the offensive instead of sitting back and waiting to be attacked. We are the attackers! We are to be on the offensive! We are to go and possess the land! We are to go and set the captive free! The defenses of darkness will not prevail against us! Go forth church ... rise ... shine ... and be victorious! Proclaim FREEDOM to the captives, in Jesus' name!

See the UNseen

"Why do you think you need that which you do not already possess? Why look at what you CAN see? Have I not told you that FAITH is the EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN? So, again, why look at only that which you can see? I am the God who calls into being that which does NOT exist. I will speak to you of those things that you cannot see, until you look through the eyes of FAITH. To see with the eyes of FAITH, you must first receive the word I speak to you. Have I not told you that FAITH comes by hearing, and hearing by My word? When I speak to you, FAITH comes ... and when you receive it, you then see into the realm of the UNSEEN. Do not follow after the way of those who when faith comes they reject it, and thus, they never see the UNSEEN. They accept that path, and that attitude. Do not follow their example. Stand up! Stand firm! Believe Me. I only have good for you. I will not disappoint you. As you receive My word, you receive Me. I will hold you, protect you, and show you great and mighty things that you've not seen before. Look not at the way things HAVE BEEN ... expect NEW things ... things that have never been before. Do not be bound by the past ... behold I'm doing a new thing. Step out in the faith which I have given you. Be ready for great things to overtake you. Rejoice! For I am with you," says the Lord.

Stand Firm

I believe that this prophetic word is for many people, but I believe that there's a pastor that needs to hear this ... "My child, I love you and I'm with you. Regardless of what you see around you, regardless of situations and circumstances, regardless of the turmoil, I'm with you. I'm with you to bring you through. You know me, you know what I've told you. I am not a man that I should lie. Because I have spoken, I have purposed, and I will not change My mind, nor will I turn from it. Stand firm. Guard your heart, for from it flow the issues of life. Do not allow the situations and circumstances that surround you dictate your actions. Follow my word, which I sent to heal you and deliver you. Stand firm. Why have the schemes of the devil, the activities of the rulers & powers, the world forces of this darkness, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places come so strongly against you at this time? It's because your breakthrough is at hand. Stand firm. I am with you," says the Lord.

Do You See Yourself the Way God Sees You?

It's time christians view themselves as God sees them. Talking to a christian today, I pointed out the redemption through Jesus' sacrifice. I pointed out that He did not "blot out" our sin, but destroyed it. It's not there any longer. "I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins." (Isaiah 43:25) "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:12)

He says He will not remember our sin any longer. I asked this person, "Do you believe that God sees you without sin?" The answer was, "No. I think about sins I've committed." I asked if they thought God was pointing those sins out. The answer was, "Yes." I pointed out that God says He will not remember our sins. "So," I asked, "if you are thinking of your sins, and God is not remembering them, who is pointing them out?" Revelation 12:10 tells us that Satan is the accuser of the brethren. God is not making the accusations, God is our redeemer. A "light bulb" turned on.

We must walk in a TRUE knowledge of God. He is NOT out to "get" us. He redeemed us. Because of our redemption, He views us in the light of His plan and purpose for us. Gideon did not see Himself as God saw him. Gideon saw himself as the least in his family. God saw him as a valiant warrior. God viewed him according to God's plan and purpose for him. How do you see yourself? Are you seeing yourself the way God does? Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."

Instead of being sin conscious, we need to be conscious of our righteousness. Jesus did a complete work. His sacrifice fully satisfied God. Walk in His righteousness that He provided for you. In doing so, you give Him glory and honor.

May God continue to bless you, and make you a blessing to others,

Confirmation

I received this prophecy through email, and found it as a confirmation of getting the "Hope Series" on the website. At this writing, I have parts 1-4 (of 14 parts) uploaded and active on the website. People need HOPE ... there are many hopeless people in the world today. This series, if people will receive, and act upon, the message preached, will launch them into a "hopeful" future.

Here's the prophetic word that I received through email this morning.
"I am releasing a new wave of possibilities as I fling open the doors of hope. This is a time when you can hatch new ideas and creative ways to remove the clogs in expression and progression. If you will seek expansion through My Spirit, you will begin to move in a new flow of freedom. Don't be afraid to forge ahead, but also be diligent to discern what is of Me, or of the flesh. Your spirit will bear witness to My Spirit, says the Lord."

May God bless you, and make you a blessing to others,

Spread the Word

I've been on a brief hiatus from the extremely active ministry that I've been involved in for over 30 years. I have continued to minister, and lives have been touched, refreshed, renewed, and transformed. Repeatedly I've been told that I need to get back to reaching the masses. My response has been that I have simply been waiting for the Lord to say, "Now is the time to step out."

I believe that this hiatus was ordained of God, and in this hiatus, God has refreshed me, and taken me into a fresh understanding of His grace, mercy, and righteousness. He's called me to the nations. He told me years ago that if my vision was not to reach all the world, then my vision was not His vision. ("Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations," Matthew 28:19a; "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15) I've continually had invitations to minister across the country and around the world. I've not been released to go ... until NOW!

I appreciate all of you who have been such an encouragement to me. God is about to do some great and mighty things through this ministry. It's like fire shut up in my bones. Those of you who have been such an encouragement, and many others who have been touched through the website, or personal ministry, I'm going to ask you to speak out. Spread the word about the website, talk to your pastors about inviting me to speak at a service, or even a seminar (3-5 days). If you've been touched by God through this ministry, others can be touched as well, and by doing your part, you will be part of the rewards as others are touched, renewed, refreshed, transformed, saved, healed, and delivered.

As I mentioned before ... God has called me, not only to reach the U.S., but He has called me to reach the nations. Having said that, I believe, there is an immediate focus that I'll be concentrating on for the next several months, at least. That's not to say that we will not be accepting invitations anywhere else, it only means what it means ... we will be concentrating our focus on the area shown in the image above.

It's time to get the word out. I'm excited about the opportunities before me. Please keep me, and this ministry, in your prayers.

May God bless each of you abundantly, and make you a blessing to others,

God is Fully Satisfied!!!

God didn't forgive us based on OUR knowledge of our sin. He forgave us based on HIS knowledge of our sin. We are forgiven, NOT according to OUR estimate of Jesus' sacrifice ... we are forgiven according to GOD's estimate of Jesus' sacrifice! Although I may not know EVERYTHING about Jesus' sacrifice ... I know one thing ... it has fully satisfied God!

May God bless you abundantly, and make you a blessing to others!

Where is the Prophet Today?

The church today needs to recognize the voice of the prophet. Understand that the prophet isn't so much a "fore"teller as he is a "forth"teller. What do I mean by that? The prophet speaks "forth" God's Word. If God is speaking something in regards to the future, the prophet appears as a foreteller ... however ... in reality, he is simply speaking forth what God is saying at the moment.

As we look at the prophets of old, we'll see that most times they did not really have understanding of the full ramification of what they were saying. Most times the prophet was speaking of the times, situations, and circumstances of the present time they encountered. However, as we look back, and see how time developed, we see that his words spoke of much more than it appeared at first.

Do not find it odd that the apostles and prophets have lost much power and recognition in the church today. It is not by accident, it is by design. Remember, Ephesians 6:12, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." These are demonic spirits. Without going into great detail at this time concerning this demonic power structure, let me say briefly that this demonic influence makes its way from the spirit into the the physical world we live and walk in.

These influences have affected the view of the apostles and prophets in the church today. Let there be no doubt ... this influence has affected the evangelists, pastors, and teachers as well, but my focus of this blog is the apostles and prophets ... primarily the prophets.

Many denominations have portrayed that the offices of the apostles and prophets have past away. The influences mentioned above (demonic forces) have, by design, lessened the importance of the Word of God, by demeaning, or hopefully doing away with, the ministry offices proclaiming God's Word. If doubt in the mind of the hearer can be established even before hearing God's Word, then the effect of God's Word will be diminished.

We're told, in Ps 107:20, "He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." So, if we are doubting His Word and the offices sent to deliver it ... how are we to receive His Word implanted ... and thus how are we to be delivered and healed?

James 1:21-25 tells us, "Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does."

Let's study to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen who do not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2Tim 2:15) Let's open our hearts to God's Word, and His prophets who He sends.

May God bless you and make you a blessing to others,
Bishop Dennis
